2012 Fire Safe California Grants Clearinghouse Open
The 2012 Fire Safe California Grants Clearinghouse is now open. The Grants Clearinghouse is made possible by California Fire Alliance member agencies with funding made possible by the United States Forest Service (USFS), the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the National Parks Service and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, according to the Fire Safe Council. Organizations in California and Nevada can apply for fire prevention grants for eligible projects by writing one grant proposal that will be routed to the appropriate grant program. Request for Applications (RFA) which provide information about grant writing programs guidelines, scoring criteria and background, Planning Tools which is an online document to help with the preparation of the grant project, and Grant Proposal Forms are all available at http://www.grants.firesafecouncil.org/. Grant proposals that were not funded in the past are also available for resubmission at www.grants.firesafecouncil.org. ###The deadline to submit a grant proposal online and for letters of commitment/fiscal sponsor letters to be postmarked to the California Fire Safe Council is midnight, April 1, 2011. Information is also available from a Grant Manager at the website above or by calling 800-372-2543. Author:Barbara Brooks - Fire Department Network News
