Austin Fire Department to Fill 108 Firefighter Positions

The Austin Fire Department is looking to fill 108 firefighter positions today. Over 6,500 applicants filled Austin's Convention Center seeking employment with the department after completing a rigorous test.

Applicants must undergo a cognitive exam in which they must score better than a 70. If the cognitive exam is passed, applicants will move on to the integrity exam, and if in the lower third of the exam, will be eliminated.
